Searenity is a 2009 model Leopard 46 built in late 2008. She has been our on/ off home for 13 years. We left Cape Town, South Africa one year after taking ownership of the boat, although the boat was customized in the factory spend the first year on improving on the boat that R&C released to us to make her comfortable for long distance cruising.

We sailed out of Cape Town in January 2010, we sailed for Cuba, where we spend a few months before sailing to the Bahamas where a few more months were spent. We eventually sailed up the US east coast to leave the boat in the Chesapeake for the winter. The next year we sailed to Martha’s Vineyard and then in June of 2011, we sailed her via the Azores to the Mediterranean.

She was in the Med for the next 10 years, we cruised from west to east and back again, turning around in Antalya Turkey.

In November 2021 we sailed her from Gibraltar to St Petersburg Florida. We refitted the boat at the Harborage Marina in St Petersburg over a 14 month period.
