"AQUA is rooted in the foundations of my architecture, which is humanistic and born from the love for natural materials and their relationship with light" explains the architect, Manuel Ruiz Morich.The result, is that the element of water has been considered in every detail of the house, as the coastal views and extraordinary light, inspire as nature is the respected lead designer. Natural materials of the highest quality, such as stone, wood and vegetation are used to bring the outside inside.Water is used as the guide, to open up, to reveal each area of the house.

The home itself is built to encompass the outside, the architecture acts as a frame to the landscape, with terraces and an infinity pool which expands upon the view. There is a 5-metre high living room, the window framing the main terrace and infinity pool. The kitchen has real prominence in the home, alongside the dining area which gives space to the making of family memories. The master suite is a huge retreat of nearly 200 square metres, encouraging relaxation as it incorporates bedroom, bathroom, dressing room, terrace and views from the upper floor. In total there are seven bedrooms; a master suite, one guest suite, four junior suites and a service suite for staff. There is also a lift, gym, indoor pool, fireplaces and a home office. There are eight bathrooms and two WC's.

On the lower floor area there is; a spa which captures the views, a wine cellar, TV room and covered parking for eight cars and further parking outside for two cars.

The sustainable construction is modeled on the passive house, so site analysis and villa orientation, to know exactly how the sun, wind and other environmental agents affect the spaces is carried out. This model does not use polluting energy methods, such as burning fuel, to produce and create a comfortable room temperature. A combination of aerothermal and photovoltaic capture technologies maintains an indoor temperature of 21 degrees every day. The aim of this, is to achieve total efficiency and energy self-sufficiency of the house for the majority of the year.

Landscape design also embraces sustainability. Landscaping elements to filter grey water. Indigenous and traditional plants. Water demand is reduced.. Existing trees are preserved. maintaining the integrity and history of the site.
