Italian TV Personality Puts Family’s Century-Old Stone Villa up for Sale
Simonetta Lein’s parents run a bed and breakfast from their home in the medieval village of Valvasone, it’s now asking €1.45 million
Simonetta Lein, an Italian TV personality and influencer, is selling the family home she grew up in the northern Italian countryside for €1.45 million (US$1.5 million).
The villa, with its quintessential red tile roof and stone facade, is in the medieval village of Valvasone, between Venice and Trieste in the province of Pordenone. Located on a 2-acre lot surrounded by vineyards, the property includes a four-bedroom main home and an operational bed and breakfast.
Together the two structures span around 12,000 square feet, with 15 bedrooms that can accommodate up to 50 people, according to the listing. The grounds also include a vineyard with strawberry grapes, horse stables, a nearly 50-foot pool and plenty of outdoor areas to enjoy the Italian sunshine.
The three-story bed and breakfast has a stone facade, a red-brick tile roof, and rows of box-shuttered windows. The rustic interiors include wood-beamed ceilings, Tuscan terracotta tile flooring, wood-burning fireplaces, and a wrought iron staircase.
“The third floor in both houses is my favorite,” Lein said via email. “The large rooms create an amazing space for people to gather, and the energy when they’re filled with friends and family is incredible. And, of course, the pool is another highlight—it’s perfect for relaxing and entertaining.”
The homes were built prior to World War II, and have been remodeled and upgraded since.

The homes were built prior to World War II, and have been remodeled and upgraded since. Lein’s parents purchased the home more than 20 years ago and continue to live there today. Over the years, they’ve introduced many eco-friendly elements, including hypoallergenic paints, efficient heating, solar panels, and an independent well for self sufficiency.
Simonetta, who now lives in Philadelphia, wants to bring the family together, so they’re looking to let go of the house. “She just wants to be with her family,” said Amanda Lynn L’Hommedieu of Nest Seekers International, who is marketing the property with Ricky Alvarado. “She was living in Philadelphia herself and she would love to get her family over to America.”
The family also owns another home in Pordenone, and recently sold homes in both Milan and Rome, Lein said.
Lein is a model, social media influencer and the host of a celebrity interview series called the “Simonetta Lein Show,” which ran for four seasons on Instagram. She also founded and manages the philanthropic Wishwall Foundation.
Valvasone’s alleyways, porticos, cathedrals and an imposing castle at its center all date back to medieval times. Its cathedrals hold one of the last remaining 16th-century Venetian organs, Renaissance frescoes and religious artifacts. It’s also been designated as one of the “most beautiful villages in Italy,” by the tourism association I Borghi più Belli d’Italia.
As for access, it’s a 45-minute train ride to Venice from the nearest train station, according to L’hommedieu, less than a two-hour drive to Trieste, and a short drive to seaside towns like Lignano Sabbiadoro and Caorle.
