A lower Manhattan penthouse with a massive terrace in a building designed by Ghanaian-British architect David Adjaye has hit the market for nearly $7 million.
The penthouse is lined with oversized, arched windows that offer city views on all four sides.
An open-plan space featuring the living room, dining area and the kitchen leads out to the covered terrace, which stretches more than 76 feet, the full width of the apartment.
The 2,470-square-foot penthouse sits on the 60th floor of a William Street high-rise, which was built in 2020. It last traded hands when the seller bought the apartment from the developer in 2022 for about $7.47 million, public records show. The seller wasn’t available for comment.
The penthouse has three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, including a primary suite with two walk-in closets and access to the terrace.
The home has a sleek, modern design with darker features to add warmth, from deep-brown kitchen cabinetry to dark grey marble in the primary bathroom.
“Every detail has been thoughtfully crafted, from the hand-selected Salvatori marble sourced from the Apuan Alps in Tuscany to the custom Pedini Italian cabinetry and exquisite carved stone finishes,” said listing agent Tamir Shemesh of Nest Seekers International. He shares the listing with his colleague Livia Stival.
A separate penthouse, similar to the one for sale, was used in filming the 11th episode of season 23 of “Law & Order” earlier this year, titled “Castle in the Sky.” In the episode—starring Reid Scott, Camryn Manheim and Tony Goldwyn—a fictional real-estate developer is found dead in one of his buildings.
The 66-story condo building has an array of amenities, including a health and wellness club with an infinity-edge pool, a cold plunge pool, a thermal pool, a dry sauna and a massage room; a fitness center with a yoga studio, a basketball court and a cool-down terrace; a chef’s catering kitchen with a private dining room; a game room; an IMAX private theater; and a golf simulator.
