In 2011 when I came to the U.S. I bought into the American Dream immediately! I instantly went to work on my plan for building my better tomorrow by enrolling at the Zarb School of Business at Hofstra University. I gained valuable experiences and insight along the way which helped me refine and re-iterate my plans. While in school I worked on multiple startups, met with and pitched to highly successful individuals and investors, and came to better understand my own affinity for problem-solving.
After graduating, a degree in hand, I was ready to take over the World! But I knew nothing would be handed to me and anything worthwhile was only going to come through struggle and perseverance. I went on to work in corporate America, first at State Farm Insurance in San Francisco, then eventually at National Debt Relief back in New York assisting clients struggling with their finances and even facing lawsuits from their creditors, making a desperate situation worse.
These experiences taught me the value of empathy and delivering phenomenal customer experiences in some of the most stressful moments. I came to love easing my clients' pain and providing them with peace of mind, leading them to rely on me for guidance and support. They appreciated my tactful problem-solving and policy of full transparency; I was able to build trust by listening intently and offering solutions where none seemed evident.
Over all these years I also moved around quite a lot, having now lived in and moved between 9 different homes! This taught me one of the most stressful undertakings we can ever endeavor on is moving! Then the pandemic hit, and suddenly after all this moving around, I like the rest of the world, found myself trapped in my own home.
As time progressed, I began to appreciate the value of the place we all call home, our haven. It was never so clear to me how important it was to love where I lived, what if I couldn't leave? Why not then live somewhere that I wouldn't want to leave in the first place? And then it dawned on me, everyone deserves to love their home.
One final move later (hopefully), I decided I was going to take my unique gifts of problem-solving, empathy, and deep customer focus to help as many people along their journey to find the place they love as humanly possible!
