Rita was born and lives in Lisbon. Has a Degree in Social Sciences and International Affairs and a Degree in Law from the University of Lisbon.

Rita worked as In-House Legal Counsel in Portugal Telecom for 13 years and later joined PLMJ Law Firm (a leading Portuguese firm) where she actively worked in the Real Estate and International Practice Groups. At PLMJ she participated in multiple cross-border transactions advising mostly foreign investors. As part of the International Practice Group she contributed to the expansion of PLMJ’s Network in multiple jurisdictions.

Rita travelled regularly to promote inbound investments mostly in the active Real Estate Market. In the context of her regular business trips, namely to USA, China, Russia, Brazil and UK she contributed to the remarkable success of the Portuguese Government “Golden Visa Program”, assisting dozens of HNWI seeking a Schengen Residence Permit through investments in real estate or, more recently in qualified Investment Funds.

In recent years, as a freelancer, Rita has advised several international Real Estate and Private Equity Investment Funds in their investments in various sectors, such as hospitality, tourist resorts, residential, commercial and agro-industrial.

Rita has a vast network of social and business contacts, both national and expat, thus with privileged access to unique and off market business opportunities, which positions her as a successful International Advisor for Nest Seekers clients wishing to buy or sell properties in Portugal.

Rita’s deep knowledge of the Portuguese Real Estate Market and her valuable experience in the legal and bureaucratic formalities of buying a property and in the logistic of moving a residence to Portugal will be a decisive factor for foreign clients.

Rita is fluent in Portuguese (native), French, English and Spanish. She has a particular interest in modern and contemporary art and actively participates in various multinational and multicultural art clubs, organizing special guided tours to Portuguese Museums and Art Galleries, namely to the PLMJ Foundation Art Collection with which she maintains a close relation.
