Steve Carney

Steve Carney is a native New Yorker and an accomplished former athlete with a rich international background.

A scholarship athlete and four-year letterman in basketball at Northeastern University in Boston, Steve captained his team and earned a degree in Communications, specializing in Radio/Journalism. In 2003, he was inducted into Northeastern University’s Basketball Hall of Fame.

His professional career began in Portugal at Sporting Club Lisboa, where he obtained Portuguese citizenship. Over the years, he played and lived in multiple countries across Europe and Asia, forging strong connections with team presidents, state officials, and sponsors. As a team captain, he developed invaluable leadership, resilience, and team-building skills—qualities that now serve him well in the real estate industry.

With over 30 years in Europe, Steve has cultivated a vast international network. His natural ability to connect with people, coupled with his strong team-building and networking skills, makes his transition into real estate seamless. Friends often say he "never meets a stranger," reflecting his warm and engaging personality. He thrives on building meaningful relationships and linking people with the right opportunities.

A lifelong sports enthusiast, Steve enjoys watching games, traveling, fine dining, and spending time at the beach. Passionate about giving back, he continues to coach children and young adults in basketball, helping them unlock their potential. Fluent in Italian and Portuguese, he splits his time living between the United States, Portugal, and Italy.
