Meet Robert Canberg of Nest Seekers International

Nest Seekers International is known for being at the forefront when it comes to technology, media and marketing, with a reputation as one of the fastest-growing real estate firms in the world, with billion of dollars in revenue. Robert Canberg, one of Nest Seekers newest agents, has the passion, knowledge and experience it takes to be an asset to such a successful team.

Canberg began his career in the Hamptons residential luxury market many years ago. In time he broadened his offerings to include commercial real estate, and developing and selling residential and commercial property on the North and South Forks has allowed Canberg to build a diverse clientele base. Over the years, he’s seen enough to know that even events like this past winter’s weather can be, well, weathered.

“The rental season started out slow, mainly because of the tough winter we endured, sometimes making it difficult to show properties due to the snowy conditions. Sales have been fairly consistent and offers have been a lot stronger, especially with investors. Buyers, I believe, know the market is changing, and numbers are slowly beginning to rise, so those who have been contemplating a purchase are now out there trying to make it happen,” Canberg says .

Deciding where to make it happen, however, requires homework. An agent who has a complete understanding of a client’s needs can narrow the search from the beginning, and it’s important for an agent to educate clients about the distinctiveness of each town. For instance, Canberg notes “Westhampton is unique because of its proximity to the highway. In addition to having some of the most pristine beaches on the East End, we certainly have easier access when it’s time to head back to New York City after a long weekend getaway. My clients spend enough time in traffic when they’re in the city; Westhampton offers the best of both worlds without the extra time sitting in traffic. There are great deals in the Westhampton Beach area, and my clients tend to get a little more for their money.”

When Canberg is not at work, he spends a good deal of time with his family and enjoys sailing, windsurfing, and playing tennis and soccer. “I believe the most valuable lesson I can share with my children is to be passionate and love what you do.” Canberg says. “I love the challenges of real estate and being of service to my clients and making a positive difference in their lives.”
